Play Day!

Kate got to visit with Emma and little Lexi for the day. They played until they were all pooped out.
Lexi is getting to be a big girl she wanted to join the girls in everything they were doing.

Playing Birthday, they would read cards to each other then eat the cupcakes they made.

Check Mate

Clint has found a new love for the game Chess! He recently shared with us that he has been playing at school and really enjoys it. This is probably the only game we did not own. So some Father Son bonding time was in order. Todd took him to get the game, out to eat and then home for some Chess matches.

The room was full of concentration (and words I have never heard).

Of course they had to have a cheerleader and well Kate fit that position very well!

Roll Tide!

We couldn't wait for the big BCS Championship Game that was Jan. 7th! Alabama vs Texas, a very exciting time for all us! Of course I had to have a little party food to go along with the game! I even let the kids eat in the living room and stay up late on a school night! We were all filled with nervous energy, we had a great time and best of all Bama WON!

Visiting Family

We went to Alabama to honor a wonderful man that had passed Grandaddy Charlton, Todd's Grandaddy the kids Great Gradaddy. It was unfortunate that this was the reason for our visit but it was a great time for visiting all the family none the less. I wish the kids had gotten to know Grandaddy more he was a character I think they would have adorned. The boys had meet him a couple of times but Kate never got the chance. However Colton made a relationship with Great Grandmother that is irreplaceable, he feel in love with her immediatly and thinks she is one of the nicest people on Earth!

We visited Great Grandmother in her little house (that is what Kate calls it), it took a while for Kate to warm up so she wouldn't have her picture made.

The kids at The Charlton's house where Mimi and Grandaddy were staying.
(The big house with the pink bathroom is what Kate called it.)

After the services a local Church held a dinner for the whole family, homemade dinner and dessert it was perfect and I am so grateful to them they allowed the family to eat and spend time together, thank you!

Saying our goodbyes I think this was the hardest part for all of us, but we will be visiting more often from now on and I can't wait for the next trip!

A true heart to heart!

The University of Alabama

When we took our trip to Alabama we had to make a slight detour to visit Bryant-Denny stadium!

It was very touching for me to take pics of the kids in front of their future college!

And you have never seen a happier kid in your life his smile was ear to ear and plastered on his face the whole time we were visiting!

Some things you never forget,
this is one of those times!

Welcoming 2010

Welcome 2010 and a New Blog

Most of you know my other blog has been giving me fits so I thought I would start the New Year (with a slight delay!) off right with a new hopefully improved site! I hope you enjoy keeping up with us and visit often!

We rang in the New Year in an Alabama hotel room.
The kids had a blast, they thought this was the best New Years Celebration yet! Kids are so easy to please!
